The Good News

Every song on this site points to one story. It is the best news you will ever hear, and it is for you.

God Made You and Loves You

You are not an accident. God made you to know Him and to enjoy Him. His love is not a reward you earn. It came first.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16 (ESV)

Something Is Broken

Deep down, most of us know it. We hurt people and get hurt. We chase things that never satisfy. The Bible calls the root of this sin: living for ourselves instead of for God. It isn’t just the bad things we do. It is a heart turned away from the One who made us. Church attendance, good manners, or trying harder can’t fix it.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23 (ESV)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23 (ESV)

Sin separates us from God, and we cannot cross that distance on our own.

God Came for Us

This is where the news turns good. God did not wait for us to clean ourselves up. He sent His Son. Jesus lived the perfect life we haven’t lived. Then He died on the cross in our place and took the judgment our sin deserved.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8 (ESV)

He Is Alive

Jesus did not stay in the grave. On the third day He rose, which proved that His sacrifice was accepted and that death has lost.

“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (ESV)

A Gift, Not a Wage

You can’t earn this. Forgiveness and new life are a gift. You receive them by trusting Jesus, not by being good enough.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (ESV)

Turn and Trust

Receiving the gift means two things together. You turn from your sin and your own way, which the Bible calls repentance. And you trust Jesus as your Savior and Lord. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You come as you are, and He begins to change you.

“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.”

Acts 3:19 (ESV)

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9 (ESV)

A Simple Prayer

The words themselves don’t save you. Jesus does. But if you are ready to trust Him, you could pray something like this:

Lord God, I know I have sinned against You and gone my own way. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust Him as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for Your forgiveness and new life. Help me follow You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9 (ESV)
