The Vision

Room at the Table is about the family God makes out of people who could never earn a seat. The church is broken sinners pulled up to one table, welcomed because Jesus paid for the welcome with His blood. Like any family, this one hurts: gossip wounds, resentment keeps us standing outside the feast, and people drift. But the God who brought us in does not leave us there. His Spirit teaches us to forgive because we have been forgiven, to tell each other the truth with love, and to go after the one who is slipping away.

That welcome never stays indoors. The Lord who knelt to serve His friends sends us out to the stranger by the road, to stand with believers suffering for His name, and to anyone still hungry, so our homes and churches always have one more chair. Every time we share the bread and the cup, we proclaim His death and look ahead to the wedding feast. Until He comes, the table is set, a place is open, and the invitation stands.

Luke 14:21–22 (ESV): "So the servant came and reported these things to his master. 1 Corinthians 10:16–17 (ESV): "The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread."
