Proverbs sets to music, one chapter at a time, the wisdom God gave through Solomon and other wise teachers: “the wise,” Agur, and King Lemuel. These are not ancient rules to admire from a distance or self-help tips with a Bible verse attached. They are a Father’s words to His children about the ordinary places where life is actually won or lost: the voices we listen to, the money we chase, the words we type, the heart we guard or neglect, the friends we choose, and the temptations that promise sweetness and deliver ruin.
Every chapter comes back to the same starting point: the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom is not a ladder we climb to earn God’s approval. Proverbs pictures wisdom as a woman calling in the streets, a poetic way of showing how near and how urgent God’s wisdom is. That wisdom finds its fulfillment in Christ, who became to us wisdom from God. The album will grow chapter by chapter until it covers all thirty-one. Each song is an invitation to listen, to trust the Lord with all your heart, and to find life.
Proverbs 1:7 (ESV): "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction."
Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV): "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
1 Corinthians 1:30 (ESV): "And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,"
