The Story

Uncertainty wears people out. We want to know how the diagnosis will turn out, whether the marriage will hold, what the next job will be. When we cannot see ahead, we either freeze or grab the wheel, trying to control outcomes we were never able to control. Underneath is a hard belief: that God is not paying attention, or that He will only lead us if we first figure out the route.

Isaiah spoke to exiles who felt exactly that way. God promised to lead the blind on roads they did not know, to turn darkness into light before them and rough places into level ground. Notice who does the work. The blind do not need a better map. They need a Guide who holds their hand. Jesus stepped into that promise when He called Himself the light of the world and said those who follow Him will not walk in darkness. Following does not mean seeing the whole path. It means staying close to the One who does. He went through the darkest night, the cross and the grave, and came out alive, so He knows the way. If you cannot see the next step, you do not have to invent one. Take His hand today, and follow.
