Grace Has Won the Fight

Track 8 • 3:20
Art for Grace Has Won the Fight

The Story

Jesus broke the power of sin and tore the chains apart. Addiction and old patterns can hold people down until they give up — and even when the struggle is easier, the call is the same: run to the One who can save. Grace has the last word because He claimed us as His own. If God is for us, who can be against us? In Christ we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. The victory that overcomes the world is faith in Jesus the Son of God — so turn from your sin and cling to Him.

Lyrics

[Verse 1] I wore that chain like skin Kept tripping on the same old sin You met me at the edge of shame And spoke my broken name I hid behind a heavy past Thought every failure was made to last But You stepped in where I fell And shattered every spell. [Pre-Chorus] Now the night has lost its claim When I call upon Your name [Chorus] Jesus, You broke the power Tore the heavy chains apart Sin can’t hold me down now Mercy claimed my heart Grace has won the fight I am Yours outright [Verse 2] You washed the dust from off my feet And gave this weary soul release The prison doors were opened wide When grace stood by my side When quiet doubts begin to rise I turn my eyes to morning skies The cross still speaks a better word Than every curse I ever heard. [Bridge] You took the crown of my despair Breathed new life into the air What was dead can rise again The moment mercy enters in So I stand on holy ground An empty grave, the sound of praise Death can never hold a claim I am rescued in Your name! [Final Chorus] Jesus, You broke the power, Tore the heavy chains apart Sin can’t hold me down now Mercy claimed my heart Grace has won the fight I am Yours outright! [Outro] You met me at the edge of shame... And gave this broken heart Your name. I am Yours.
